remember when Gaga said that ARTPOP was the end of the beginning of her career, actually Joanne feels like it is. Your post makes sense.

While Gaga was in the room/photo? Don't think it's that reckless.

We don't know if they were writing for someone else. Or the movie. Seriously. You can never be 100% sure until it comes out of Gaga's mouth herself and even sometimes that is questionable. Just spilling tea.

After the Superbowl and the Vegas announcement I really do feel that they’re next move is turning her into a legacy act. Like Britney has. I wouldn’t expect relevant new material from her for a while.

****ing sad, yo. I was hoping she'd at least notch two or three more pop albums and score at least one or two more number ones before she became a "legacy act". It's depressing. Vegas still bothers me. Part of me hopes something happens where the plan falls through and it get's BTWBalled. :fthis:

I was at the recording for the film in NY. Ain't nothing country tinged about the song she did. It was straight up RnB/Pop

How do I know you aren't lying? And why have we never heard anyone say this? Gaga doing R&B/pop? Like Rihanna? eeeeemmmmm......the photos we have seen of the film do not look aesthetically like that at all. are you sure you weren't really close to an H&M and just heard a RiRi remix? :laughga:

Well, if the Quavo thing doesn't get resolved, the "Year of Cardi" may be cancelled.:icega:

I doubt that. 90% of her audience is straight 18-28 year olds. Not gay guys. And even so...gay guys still like Cardi despite that. Even if she had said it...she still wouldn't have gotten half the treatment Iggy got for saying prejudice stuff because LGBTQ people still have it harder than people of color have it when it comes to the entertainment business and no gives a **** about us. For example: Elvis Duran is a gay man and even he barely promotes LGBTQ culture on his show....at all. Why do you think an openly gay man has never had a #1 Hot 100 hit? Ever. (Elton John was married to a woman when he got his #1s, George Michael was still hiding in park bathrooms at cruising sites when he got his #1s). The closest a gay male has gotten was Sam Smith at #2. Once. And that was farely recent. The radio industry pretty much ignores us. Cardi's weird boyfriend that she'll not be with forever (its Hollywood) saying queer goes in one ear and out the other of the general public's mind.

There have been several screenings of the movie, sis.:air:

Well now I'm 100% positive you are trolling. Because plenty of people have talked about the song "Do That" and made multiple threads on here. I even went as far and drew out what her outfit was from the day of filming, I can even post a screenshot of my ticket from the filming if you really are serious though.

EDIT: Here are the skecthes of the outfits. The jacket was gold satiny looking, the inside was clear red vinyl. The bra was covered in crystals. There was lots of grinding with her male dancer.

Here's some lyrics too from the note I made after getting my phone unlocked following the filming.

[First Verse]
Why do you look so good in those jeans?
Why'd you come around me with an ass like that?
You're Making all my thoughts obscene,
This is not, not like me!
[???] *more here I think
Why do you do that? TO ME!
[Chorus]
Why do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
Why do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
Why do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
Why do you do that x2
[Second Verse]
[???] *something here
Boy why do have to look so fine?
When I look at you I wish that I were blind.
[???] *more here
How do you do that? TO ME!
[Chorus]
How do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
How do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
How do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
How do you do that x2
[Bridge] I forgot the lyrics completely
[Chorus]
How do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
How do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
How do you do that, do that, do that, do that, do that to me?
How do you do that x2

Song was around 160bpm as well.

Hmmm I don’t think so, I just feel like she seemed tired of looking for validation which those awards where. Either that or just the end of the Joanne era. I couldn’t help myself but notice how while singing she would lool at Mark with those sad eyes almost like ‘we did this together and now it’s over but it’s still so special’ type of look and just grateful yet sad at the same time. She knew going in she wouldn’t win and idk if she cared that much to win for herself but more for us, to make us happy almost like we would win that more then her. Idk, I don’t think Gaga is over or CrazyGa is over, I feel like Joanne is and she knows now that she has to let her go or keep her closed inside her once again.

mama will never stop dominating. all those trying to make comparisons will find their mouths filled with ash. she is a force. it is to our credit that we recognized early. she is a beast. our beast. our monster. I am so ready/excited/terrified for LG6. she does not stop. stop is never what she has done, never what she will do. trust.

she will never quit music, ever. she has said that music is with her the whole time. she always creates music. she will decide what comes up next but it might be true that she will take a break from "commercial" music a year and focus on asib. its what makes sense. im sure her next release will be her peak of her career. but as you said yourself, she does not need to prove anything anymore. she is lady GAGA.

She also used to say music is the most important thing to her and got a tattoo about it on her arm.

Then when AHS came along she started saying "Actually I wanted to be an actress first but music just kind of happened."

So.....yes.....she doesn't always ring consistent. That could change. And it might have already. :trollga:

Also.....you think LG6 will be her peak? I'm not gonna argue that. You never know. Could be. But I wouldn't be so sure of that until you know....you actually hear it. :laughga:

lmao..."britney level success"...

yeah, she already had that. Album sales declined from 1999-2009, so of course sales arent the same but with inflation they're absolutely comparable. Gaga's fame was otherwordly from 2009-2011, same as britney at her peak.

Okay maybe close to Britney. But Britney is still getting radio play 20 years into her career. Not massive, but they still debut her music. Whats sad is Gaga is only 9 years in and PI was getting the same play as Britney's "Make Me".

Madonna though is not arguable. I don't care what anyone says. No...Gaga might be technically more talented than Madonna....but Gaga has not come close to doing half of what Madonna did. What Madonna did was outrageous. Madonna had the insanity and crassness for her time of five meatdresses, five vessels, and 18 SXSW puke stunts. And she was pushing gay equality at a time when AIDS was considered vermin and pushing sexual freedom like no other female had done before. Erotica takes massive dumps on albums like Lemonade, Bangerz, or Born This Way in terms of the envelopes it was pushing. I'm sorry. Gaga has to have songs on the radio in 2050 if we want to start that comparison again.

I obviously love Gaga more, btw....but no....Gaga has not achieved the rolodex of influence Madonna has. (Which is why its so shocking that Gaga is like....morphing (on purpose btw) into this middle aged person so early in her career). She is in the beginning of her thirties....not checking out her 401k and overdrafting her Library Card. :what: I know she is not trying to appeal to tweens anymore but I always thought her music was meant to appeal to everyone...now it's like she's purposefully appealing upwards which is.....weird. And not in a good way.

literally what is this OP?

her plans for the year do not depend on if she won a grammy or not

she said herself she didn't expect to win

she's not going to take time off just because she lost lol

Did you read the OP? I never said anything about her winning/not winning. I had this opinion right after I saw her J/MR performance.
