DiscoStyx 3,355
"“Havana” is a serious, enduring hit: It topped Billboard’s Radio Songs chart before Christmas and remained radio’s most-heard song for the next month. You can see why radio likes it—the song is seriously insinuating, milking a jazzy Afro-Cuban piano clave better than anything this side of ’90s house. An homage to Cabello’s hometown—she was raised in the Eastern Havana village Cojímar—the song’s sticky refrain, “Half of my heart is in Havana-ooh-nana,” joins such seminonsensical classics as “Up-town/ Funk you up/Uptown funk you up” and “Ro mah ro-mah-mah/ Gaga-ooh-la-la” among this decade’s chart-conquering brain fungi." full article here: https://slate.com/culture/2018/01/why-camila-cabellos-havana-is-no-1-on-the-hot-100.html I personally LOVE 'Havana'. I hadn't been that addicted to a song for a while. @ mods: I'm not sure this is the right section, please move the thread if needed cause of death: gaga singing along perfect illusion on BBC Radio

LetsGetHigh 52,683
Havana oh na na doesn't even come CLOSE to the complexity of Roh Ma Roh Ma Ma Ga Ga Ou La La though. It's literally just like "Rihanna oh na na" which is a cheap way of making a song catchy. Don't @ me.
LateToCult 40,903
I truly do think Havana is gonna be remembered. At the very least it’s insanely catchy “Havana-ooh-nana” will live on in people’s brains. All the naysayers on here are just salty a pop girl other than Taylor is having success. Josip 3,971
It topped the charts because album came out and it was on discount. Otherwise it would never reach #1, even if Drake's God's Plan did not happen. Also, it is inferior to Bad Romance, and that is understatement. edgy 6,918
Havana is just another basic bop. Bad Romance was a moment.
TheAlexer 1,343
Havanna shows what i hate about todays chart pop music. It is so boring. It's neither very loud or very quiet, no big changes inside of the song. It is flat without any edges. Why does the GP eat this **** but lets stuff like G.U.Y and Perfect Illusion flop. Why is the statement "this song is weird" suddenly something negative.
