i actually agree, all the kesha hype was bc she got free from luke but overall the album is just ok

it'd be nice if she wins but i don't think she actually will, there are better albums/songs on the poll imo

... and now i just sit in silence.

Surprised and disappointed to find out how many little monsters dislike or are indifferent towards Kesha.

REALITY

I disagree. Personally, I believe that "Praying" should get the Best Pop Solo Performance (if MR doesn't get it) and Joanne should get the Best Pop Vocal Album. Even though I love "Million Reasons," I think that sonically; production-wise; and borderline, lyrically, "Praying" is a better song. Vocally, obviously Gaga takes that one. Kesha's a good singer, but technically she's just not comparable to Gaga—and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's just her style, and with more practice she can become better. Not only that, but I think in today's social climate, it'd be amazing for a song like that to win.

Also, let's talk about Joanne being to inspiration for just about everything (according to some of you guys). First of all, Kesha grew up with a background and taste for rock/folk/country music, so you can't say that Gaga was the only reason for this change. Also, considering all the **** that she's gone through, it makes perfect sense for her to create a stripped-down album. It shows that she's just more than the "crazy party girl" that most people know her as. The album gives her depth as an artist and as an individual: my respect and love for her as gone up exponentially since the release of this record.

There's also a lot of assumptions here when you're talking about the critics, and in a way you're sort of being contradictory. You're complaining about the critics boosting their reviews, but in the same sentence say that Kesha made a strong comeback. Of course they're going to "boost" their reviews! Her comeback was great considering all the **** she's gone through, publicly and privately! You're also acting like the only reason why some critics didn't like Joanne was because of biases towards Gaga. First of all, bias goes two ways. We, as a fan site, are also inherently biased because of our love for Gaga. You also can't assume that everyone who doesn't like Joanne also just doesn't like Gaga. Perhaps they have valid reasoning as to why they didn't like the album.

Finally, with the whole "A student, and F to B student" thing...What's that about? You're acting like Gaga doesn't get any recognition or praise for what she does. She probably should get more, but she gets a ton of praise by fans, critics, the general public, etc. It's not like she's a complete outcast. Also, why shouldn't we be able to celebrate the comeback that Kesha had? She was able to go from this "crazy party girl" who people just really brushed aside as a joke to someone who has made a great album (sonically, lyrically, etc.) and has been able to pull through some of the most difficult times of her life only to mature, prosper, and grow as an artist/individual. Kesha 100% deserves a nomination and I would argue that she deserves to win. Of course, my ideal situation is that Gaga wins both categories, but if she ends up losing to Kesha, I wouldn't be mad whatsoever.

We're all sitting here arguing about this meanwhile the most likely outcome is that Ed Shitran is probably going to sweep both awards anyway...

In this "woke" age, I doubt they're gonna give a Grammy to a str8, white male over a female sexual abuse victim.

Theyre didn't give him main category nominations for a reason
