I find it disappointing she chose this song. I have to admit this is the track I skip.  Just Another Day  or Come to Mamma would've been massive had she done it  at the Grammys.

I would argue she still cares, just not as obsessive anymore

She still likes some tweets that posting about how far her singles for Joanne album goes  on the charts.

Yes she does care about charts. She wouldn’t have gotten so upset when she found out her album leaked and thousands of people were already listening to it. If you only care about the music then you wouldn’t mind that people were already hearing it a little ahead of the official release date. I’m pretty sure every artist cares about the commercial success of their work because it’s a form of validation that their work is appreciated.

You’re mistaking Joanne’s lack of appeal with Gaga not caring about the charts. She’s promoted it plenty of times but people just aren’t as interested in the album as all of you think they are. The era is almost over now so she’s not going to waste much more effort into promoting the last sort-of-single that has a homemade-style music video.

Part of me thinks she’s also come to terms with the fact that Joanne the album and era was a moderate success for her, but not what people want. She knows people aren’t going to stream it or watch the music videos or buy the singles. She knows she has the power to reach #1 on iTunes for a couple days but that’s about as much commercial success as she’s gonna see with this album now. So she won’t bother to promote it. This last alternative version of the song Joanne is just a little fun parting gift. Let’s not expect anything more of it.

Thank god she doesn't care about the charts anymore. The charts have become a mess. When I take a look at the top 20, I don't even know a single song, because popular music has become a victim of consumerism with short lived singers releasing short lived songs to get some money. I don't even think most kids nowadays really care about the artists they are listen to anymore. It feels like they  just stream some playlists they like on Spotify and that's how the songs chart. Gaga doesn't need that kind of fame anymore. She is a 31-year old (?) mature woman who can do better than that and write meaningful, good music. So I am glad that she focusses more on critical recognition and the establishment of her as an icon instead of being played at a club while people are getting drunk.

She's a pop artists and SHE'S THIRSTY for a hit, you can obviously tell. Just because Joanne wasn't meant for the charts doesn't mean her next projects won't be commercial.
