This is what she wanted for this era obviously. But wait for it ... LG6 = #2018RadioIsOurs, the bitsh is as thirsty as us for that number 1 hit

honestly with how much money this woman has pulled in during this album cycle, does she need to get hits anymore?

Duh.

She's been doing what makes her happy instead of chasing charts for years now lol how many times do I have to shout it from the rooftops?

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Obviously I miss her promotion from TFM or BTW era, but im glad she is doing what she wants, as long as the fans like it, i think she's happy and so am I

She said on Howard Stern right at the beginning she was taking a different approach with the release format this year. The Joanne era is the first era where I actually believe she doesn't care for charts. That wasn't the aim.

She said the same for AP but we all knew she wanted the charts then. I imagine she will be more commercial and chart-focused with LG6.

She clearly still enjoys when her music does well on charts, and views it as a victory.

But she doesn’t shape the sound of her music around what is currently doing well on pop radio. And for people who want her to do so, I would recommend stanning someone else.

Thank god she doesn't care about the charts anymore. The charts have become a mess. When I take a look at the top 20, I don't even know a single song, because popular music has become a victim of consumerism with short lived singers releasing short lived songs to get some money. I don't even think most kids nowadays really care about the artists they are listen to anymore. It feels like they  just stream some playlists they like on Spotify and that's how the songs chart. Gaga doesn't need that kind of fame anymore. She is a 31-year old (?) mature woman who can do better than that and write meaningful, good music. So I am glad that she focusses more on critical recognition and the establishment of her as an icon instead of being played at a club while people are getting drunk.

Million arguably visually boring performances agree tho, during BTW every performance had something to say, gimmicky or not, not to mention choregraphed.

MR performances, while vocally amazing, werent exactly an "idea vomiting" experience

honestly if this is the way eras will go now I'm here for it. she'll be able to bring out more content without having to think about the "system" and be more care-free in her art and her approach

nevertheless I do think that they'll always keep trying to push successful singles (one or two) around the time the albums will come out, to have at least one hit per era

But...she’s said this in Howard Stern when the album dropped. Her approach this time was not about singles. I really don’t see how anyone could meltdown over the one time she did exactly as she said :laughga:
