Her power is truly unstoppable right now If she had to cancel 10 tour dates for ASIB to be a critical hit I'm not complaining tbh You have a link? In the United States, 19 debuted at number 61 and remained in the lower ends of the Billboard 200 for many proceeding weeks. After a performance on the US show Saturday Night Live, it rose to number 46 and a week later to number 11 with 25,000+ copies sold. In 2009, after winning two Grammy Awards, the album rose to number 10 on the US Billboard 200 and total sales reached 843,880. Which means she sold almost 850,000 albums in one year in the US. (of course the album got massive boost after 21 success, and in February 2012 reached number 4 in the Billboard 200) But 19 was a huge success in the UK before 21. It debuted at number one and Chasing Pavements was all over the place. I remember thinking back then she probably wouldn't go too far. At the same time, we had Duffy, who looked much more promising as a new rising star. The tables turned and Adele is Adele.

Idk it’s just a gut feeling. She’s untouchable right now I was thinking about the same thing + it's not just the critics, it's the GP, as well. This reminds me of the situation Beyoncé was in before releasing ST and completely dominatng pop culture. The other thing that made me think that is people barely complained about the tour dates getting axed (which I'm sorry truly sorry about) and all wished her speedy recovery. In the end Joanne turned out to be a success, especially in the United States. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets certified double platinum at some point in the future, her streaming has improved - MR is expected to reach 200M on YT before year's end. Who would have thought? I never imagined it would ever cross 100M and her streaming on Spotify is even more impressive considering she was literally streaming poison last year at that time. The Cure is platinum based on a couple of Spotify playlists and a lyric video no one cared about. Serious publications like Forbes, Time and some less important like EW and Billboard recognize the influence she's had on pop culture by releasing Joanne resulting in similiar reinventions for other high profile acts. She's secured the most lucrative deal in Vegas ever. She's come so far in the last year. I hope the BloodPop song is a success followed by the soundtrack album which I think it will be even more successful than Joanne because people really embraced the scaled back songs like Million Reasons, plus The Cure proved people are still here for more pop orientated tunes. And as far as we know the album is a combination of both. Over the years I've seen lots of soundtrack albums doing great, even better than some albums released by A-list singers. This may truly be her Bodyguard, well, not that successful anyway since Bodyguard is not the norm but something in that vein.
