I'm still highly pissed off with the new billboard system. Why the f*ck does a stream counts both for a song certification and an album certification ? It's like a double sale. Basically any big stream artist from now will get high album certifications , and all of it's album tracks will also be certified (see Drake, Ed Sheeran, etc.)

Dua Lipa's album 'sales' are 80% coming from New Rules, and yet both the song and the album will be certified because of this. It just sounds wrong. It's not because you had one hit that you,re album was an actual success.

Billboard should adopt the same system as in Germany, based on revenue.

If someones sells 100,000 copies of an album at 12,99$ it's not logical that free-streaming units counts as much, or more.

The #1 album should be the album that generated the most revenue in that week, not an album that sold 1k and yet has 200 SPS.

Good point. It should be taken into account. #1 the album that generates more money.

I still can't believe they went with Woman when they have Learn To Let Go and Hymn :rip:

Woman obviously has more catchiness and fun to listen to. Learn To Let Go is noisy af and Hymn is boring.

Mister Gaga

@DiscoHeaven23 billboard's chart system is ****ed up. The have to make some kind of modification in the formula, streaming is making songs to chart for over a year, and block other songs to go Top 10. Shape of You has a year and it's still Top 25. It's ruinning all the prestige; Drake's God Plan debuted at #1 and obviously it doesn't have not even a 10% of the impact that had Born This Way / Hello / Shake It Off when they debuted at #1. What do you think?
