Look at Katy and Taylor numbers I honestly think it's dying. (music-wise of course) People can still get huge views. But the peak of Youtube was 2015 and since then the views are decreasing. I compared the views of the top 10 songs in 2015/2016/2017 and it has just been decreasing. Of course that doesn't ring a bell with isolated cases (Despacito/Shape Of You). But I think the Music Video impact is better than ever right now. Like, if its a great video, it can get a LOT of views and bring attention to the song.
