Joanne vs. Radio

How do you see the new version of Joanne doing in the radio?

The first thing which comes to my mind is Adele's "Someone Like You" which snatched all charts, was in very similar style and even longer than "Joanne" (4:45).

Do you think it's going to do well?

I wish it would but well.. I don't think so. Million Reasons was the best material to get that smashing it tbh

I would think the same. But back then adele was a nothing (Almost) I think gaga would not do so well since she changed her style drastically, people would not be used to it. :laughga:

The first thing that came to mind was TIHTY.  It would be nice if it gets that kinda treatment.

but Someone Like You is something almost everyone can relate to, + the tempo of Joanne is way too slow

Joanne is also very relatable for most people.

Addison Rae

I don’t think it will a hit because I think it’s just for the fans. It’s a nice farewell to the era

I think every song can work out on the radio with the right push. A hit happens if 1) radio supports it or 2) streaming supports it. I don't think the public will stream this song too much, and Spotify depends too much on it (see Camila's case). But the radio can be a winning platform if the label pushes it (aka payola). Will they do it? No.

So I guess this will just be a small gift to end the era.

Adele's "Someone Like You" came at the right moment, and her Brit's performance was simply too successful. Gaga has done a dozen performances for a Million Reasons and none grab the attention of the public (the way Adele did with Someone Like You), so I don't think Joanne will have that kind of impact.
