One of the reasons why I love her is because she always tries different things and never really failed at doing one once. She started with electronic pop and nailed it, went darker with her lyrics and harsher production and nailed it, tried to send her message through simple but powerful lyrics with a pop album full of bangers and nailed it, questioned her own way of making music up until that moment and created a pop album and still managed to do it somehow full of art, experimental and nailed it, she created a jazz album with a legend, turned soft rock and explored the more personal side of herself. Nailed it. She nails everything she tries. She's just that good. And why do you want her to go full pop again? Is there a specific reason why? You want her to be ''relevant'', makes no sense when generic artists (you know the ones) are ''relevant''. If those artists are considered ''relevant'', then she SHOULDN'T be relevant, just like other great artists. In 2018 radio is a place for generic artists. Awards, praise, high grossing international tours, big shows, different genres, these are the places for legends. She shouldn't compete against Ariana Grande or Shawn Mendes, she should sip her tea talking to Metallica and U2, discussing how her hard rock album was like and if she should try alternative and indie music. We don't care about whether she smashes or not. We don't want her to release pop bops because we want her to do well , we want them cause we love them. She's a genius at it and the fans love it. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
