At the time of hearing it, and still relatively now I'm taking it in a pretty literal sense of, amongst the growing popularity and fandom, that it wont destroy the passion and creativity to keep doing what you love to do.

She clearly didn't get her flu shot, so she must pray the flu virus (The Fame) doesn't make her very sick.

She wants the fame, and adores what comes with it, but hopes that the negative side doesn't take her life. I guess the same way it took the life of Marilyn Monroe, Amy Winehouse, etc.

Oh god that quote still gives me chills, one of my all-time favourites.

It's basically the hidden theme of Paparazzi: I hope the trials and tribulations of fame do not burden me to the point of no return.

I think she meant that she hopes fame doesnt take away her passion + her free will to walk around without a hundred people next to her, which was a problem she suffered recently.

I'm reminded of Princess Diana who was chased down by paparazzi ("flashing lights") to her death. The fame literally took her life.

Remember in FF2 when she was listing off all the people she wanted that performance to remind people of, and she referred to Diana as "you know who" :diane:

She obviously still feels really strongly about this subject and I love her for bringing it to light so much in her earlier work.

Paparazzi, personified, except the more tragic side of it.

The perfect lead-in to TFM.

For the next thread about a quote can you choose something that's not literal?

"I like pizza." "Oooo what could it mean?"

I take it as she likes being photographed and loves attention but she doesn't know how much is too much for her

The sassy one liners aren't really doing you any favors. If you don't like my threads then you know just move on with your life.

Ot: My last one was about a french fry. You know the one you commented on that until now went unnoticed
