Cardi Addresses "Queer" Incident

I don’t buy her excuse, it feels like she’s lying. It’s just common knowledge that saying “I don’t vibe with queers” is degrading. I didn’t learn about that or the N word or other offensive terms from my parents. You learn it in everyday life, friends, the media, etc. I just find this hard to believe unless she grew up extremely sheltered.

When she speaks, she sounds dumb. She talks like a 12 year old. All of these points make me think she is ignorant. Why would I be surprised if she handled this situation ignorantly?-WHich is exactly what she has done. But she shouldn’t be cancelled. SHe should apologize and change her ways. HEr fiancé however is a multiple offender of this. CANCEL HIM.

Cardi makes a point that we can’t forget. Instead of putting people down, why don’t we try to educate them on what is right and what is wrong when they step out of line, so that they know not to do it again. You can’t expect most people to learn by being bashed. Think of school: is it harder to learn from a teacher who constantly yells and is never satisfied or a teacher who will sit down and tell you, ”Here’s what you did wrong. Next time, fix it and we’ll be good.” And, maybe he should educate himself, but it’s hard to stay educated on what’s offensive and what’s not when the times are still changing. I think anyone born before like 2008 will know how f*g and gay and queer weren’t really “offensive” in a sense not too long ago. You could say those words and nobody would bat an eye, at least where I come from. The times are constantly changing, and it’s hard to keep up with what’s offensive and what’s not when something new is offensive everyday. That’s why it’s our job to keep celebrities in line.

TLDR: Cardi proves a point in that we should educate instead of bashing.
