Think about it, do you do that to Gaga? “Oh she won a golden globe but you can basically buy those” “oh MR went number four but that’s only because of the Super Bowl it would’ve flopped otherwise” those comments would bother fans here because they obviously aim to belittle the accomplishment. When you do that to cardi it’s the same damn thing. I do not care about her line or anything. My comment was about someone saying Cardi has the same or more success than Gaga in her three years - which she has not. That’s my point. In Australia, as a side example, even though Gaga is respected by many you hardly hear her songs playing in gay bars and clubs (of all places!) let alone mainstream ones. And when Gaga songs do play the crowd sadly doesn't go as wild here in Sydney at least Went to this old-fashioned yet cool little gay disco 2 weeks ago which attracts a very fun, casual mixed-age crowd and everyone went bananas when Madonna, Whitney, Katy, Britney, Kylie and even Nicky Minaj songs where playing but when Bad Romance came up it was noticeably less hype. Poker Face, Just Dance or even Telephone would’ve got the crowd jumping tho. I think Bad Romance can be too dramatic for certain environments.
