Economy 52,861 Posted January 18, 2018 Share Posted January 18, 2018 https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/01/16/us-shale-oil-drilling-poised-to-surge-in-february.html fracking and drilling is surging in the US thanks to higher oil prices and next month the EIA projects a growth in production by 111,000 barrels a day Some Opec members like Iran think they should expire the output cuts sooner to prevent too much production growth outside Opec Other OPEC members are determined to keep cuts to bring oil storage levels down to their 5 year average and insist workers and equipment shortage in US Shale industry will prevent growth from staying this strong indefinitely regardless of oil prices.
