"We are nothing without our image. Without our projection. Without the spiritual hologram of
Who we perceive ourselves to be, or rather to become, in the future.

When you're lonely...
I'll be lonely too...
And this is the fame."

It's about your outward image. How people judge you and what they think of you vs what you want them to think. Pretend to be confident and people will think you're confident.

Hmmm let me try :duck:

We are now trying to be who we want to become at the end of the journey. We are nothing without this “spiritual hologram” which means something that’s not real yet. We are nothing if we are not pursuing our dreams or future projects.

Gaga used to talk about how we can self proclaim our own fame as a lifestyle. She was already Lady Gaga before she was famous because she earned that. She owned “Lady Gaga” and that’s how she would perceive herself.

This is the correct answer. :poot:

Also, to expand on this, this was a fundamental concept for Born This Way.

You see, that song/album isn't just about loving yourself and accepting yourself as you are, but loving and accepting yourself as you were destined to be. Or, rather, will become, were, past, present, and future.

That's why she had Zombie Boy for the music video. He wasn't born with those tattoos, but he was ultimately born to become that person.

Lord Temptation

I analysed it from a Freudian perspective :gaysia:

So basically Gaga is saying that there are three alternate versions of who we are:

-The person when NOONE else is around :stalkga:

-The person when EVERYONE is looking :firega:

- And the person in the middle, a hybrid of the first two :saladga:

Gaga’s quote says that it is inportant to recognise that we always feel like we are stuck somewhere between The Fame (what people want us to be) and Born This Way (who we want to be) :queenga:

And that only art and pop, i.e Mother Momster, can cure us when we are feeling unsure of ourselves :kara:
