Well, you are missing the point here. Obviously she recorded the song with that range, and the vocals are amazing, but performing the full version every night on a tour (and she has to sing and dance all of the songs) damages her vocal chords. So it's better to do a short performance.

I believe she has the range, but makes no sense to release a song, specially a lead single, that apparently is so hard for you to sing. If you don't have the pipes for it, better keep it or make it a bonus track. Excusing a singer for not singing her own song because it could damage her vocal chords sounds so lame.

Okay, I'm gonna point you towards Adele. She has the voice for her songs, most of which are powerhouse vocal songs, look what touring and singing them every night did.

Complain all you guys want, but A, you weren't there for Perfect Illusion when it came out. B, if she damages her vocal cords, we won't get new music. C, it's her show and her choice, not yours. And D, if it's so easy to sing, you sing it every night while jumping around on stage. :trollga:

Another thing. Look at Melanie Martinez. Her vocal range on the bridge of Cry Baby and some of her other songs are all over the place and she always performs full versions of her songs but it’s damanged her vocals because of her singing the full versions for the last 2-3 years

Just lower the key tbh. Most people will understand.

There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.

If the performance was like... way more... "creative"... I wouldn't mind if she actually playbacked the song or something :sis:

Not actually pretend to sing, but if it had some lighting\choreo or something, she could just sing along the backtrack but leave the really high vocals out.

The thing is: that short performance really kills the mood from the song. The intro itself looks longer than the whole song :lolga:

we been knew she hated the song, she never cared to promote the lead, there were meltdowns over that
