A lot of walmart employees will likely be worse off now if their income makes them ineligible for other benefits because the inadequate raise will not make up for that. This benefits rich white people who think walmart is only for teenagers to work at part time during the summer to “build character.” Not to, you know, feed yourself and your family. If the Government wants to help (wont happen under Trumps leadership) then raising benefits and help for those struggling is a better idea raising minimum wage too much could encourage too many to stay complacent to not go after something better instead of ppl that are just forced to stay in these jobs due to live circumstances raising minimum wage too much will only result in too much job losses in low skilled jobs that are needed for experience building, students to start off etc Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
