when something happens to you or someone you love your “sense of justice” is being fueled by emotion such as anger and a sense of vengance

 

humans are not known to be rational when filled with emotion

 

Most humans who go thru an injustice by another person have a tendency to have overblown opinion of what punishement should be

 

Too high a percentage of people would end up with death or life imprisonment if it was up to victims to decide sentence

 

that being said i agree sexual assault deserves severe punishment. But I wouldnt go as far as death

 

i think death should be reserved for things like pre-meditated murder, torture, severe human abuse (such as human trafficking especially most severe cases) etc

 

Sexual assault (to the degree of rape) would maybe be in the next highest level of severely after those i listed

Have you ever been sexually assaulted before? Because it’s pretty torturous. And it’s abuse. It’s not just non consensual sex it can and has ruined people’s lives just like all of those crimes you mentioned SHOULD warrant the Death penalty.
