James Franco sexual assault allegations

What a joke.

This is an allegation. Even if true, the level of harm must be taken into account. It's alleged he pushed her head down to his crutch making a pass at her. Seems like she declined and he made no further efforts (otherwise she would be saying she was forced into oral sex). This isn't exactly the most horrible thing you can do to someone.

This is not justification to end someones career.

I myself would not complain if Franco made sexual advances on me.

Nor would I. Lets be honest, this is what they are. Sexual advances. Soon it will be socially unacceptable to make sexual advances towards anyone. How the hell are we meant to procreate if everyone is so afraid of sex!

Totally true. There was a girl in my high school who talked to him on Snapchat. He would meet up with “fans” in NYC when he was around.

Please tell me this is sarcasm...

You seriously don't see the issue with shoving somebody's head down toward your naked genitalia..

"Not the most horrible thing you could do to someone." So just because somebody could do worse excuses what they did? What kind of logic...

It is a mild transgression, not sexual assault.

Why was she in the vehicle with him in the first place, what is the context? Making a wild assumption, probably met him off an app of some sort.

Its still illegal at least in Pennsylvania. They can only be 4 years older than you at most from 16-17.

The age of consent in Pennsylvania is 16 years of age for statutory sexual assault, and 18 years for corruption of minors. Teenagers aged 13, 14 and 15 may or may not be able to legally engage in sexual activity with partners who are less than 4years older.

She was 17.

Corruption of a minor under 18 is different.  I'm pretty sure that has to do with talking a minor into committing a crime, but im not sure. Kinda like those people who have their kids shoplift for them or some other crime.

As long as he didn't trade nude pics with her there is no crime.

It's still gross when you think about it but it's not illegal. At least I think it's super gross. There should just be one age across all the US and it should be 18.

...what even is this post supposed to say, I don't get it. That anybody above 16 can't get sexually assaulted or what?

..... im saying that I dont agree that its sexual assault if the “fault” was that the girl was 17. Im pretty sure that 17 is an age where you are capable of making these types of decisions. Ofc I dont mean what you thought I said in my post...

For whatever reason she was in the vehicle with him, for whatever context, it's not okay to push another person's head to your genital.

We do not know for sure whether the allegation is true or not. But it seems like you are implying that if the allegation is true, it's not a big deal, it's not sexual assault, it's a "mild transgression". If that is your standpoint, then I urge you to look up the definition of sexual assault and realize that other people's boundaries should be respected.

People have been accusing that sack of slime of pursuing underage girls and of forceful sexual behaviour for years now.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

The law in many states would disagree with you, if the age of the other person was 35 (like it was with Franco).

It would be considered statutory rape in those states.

And if he whipped his **** out and tried to force someone's head to his crotch, it is sexual assault in every state.
