babs 5,093
I'm just gonna wait for another MR performance tbh lmao if it isn't that, it'll be a pleasant surprise, and if it is then I will get what I expected and enjoy it
Gagadonna 10,801
Perfect Illusion or John Wayne please. Or as I suggested the other day... The Joanne trilogy
Inferno 2,880
He could play Mark Ronsons guitar portion of their Joanne duet. That song is the most personal on the album and is the most suitable for the grammy stage. Actually even though a medley would be ideal for boosting album sales and streaming, I think she'd be better off focusing an entire performance on one song, preferably Joanne or John Wayne. And I would prefer her to never perform A-Yo ever again, worst song on the album imo.

I didn't see any morning talk shows gushing about her. Everything was about Pink and the Whitney houston tribute.

Ashley 8,620
He can play on any song though, not just those. The arrangement could be changed too. I’m still hoping for Joanne.
AndrewGr 6,019
First of all, he plays the bass. Not the guitar (Gaga's guitarists are Tim and Ricky) Secondly, he even plays on Angel Down, so the fact that he said that he's playing at the Grammys doesn't allow us to assume that she's performing one of the songs you mentioned. freebit 6,117
Seems like a bit of a reach. A lot of her music requires guitar and bass, so it's kind of unpredictable IMO. Maybe Ricky or the other one is taking a break? Who knows. 47 minutes ago, Inferno said: He could play Mark Ronsons guitar portion of their Joanne duet. It's like MANiCURE: The Re-Up. Plus it already got its shine on SNL.

But its a total cornball Target commercial mess, in the same vein that MANiCURE was. I hate them both tbh.

We know (well, most of us) that she's not being literal and is singing about the trope of the tall, dark, handsome, ~wild~ man, but most of them don't (or are willing to pretend they don't for clicks and content filler). If she performs a bop from Joanne, it should be DiC IMO.

True, Gaga is a target for certain groups of people online and regardless of her authenticity or intention they will absolutely use her use of John Wayne against her. In the same way as they did with Aura and the burqa, which is also a reason that could never have became a single. Personally though, I lowkey hate DIC. Like...its okay. Maybe it would work in the sense that its latin infusion works in the current pop landscape but honestly her masturbation innuendo is too clumsy for me lol its no So Happy I Could Die. But also since DIC was produced in part by Beck, it would be interesting to see him come on stage for the performance (which most likely isnt happening anyway so theories).
