still, a demo is enough, the songs can be mixed or re-recorded for a released studio version. did she stop several times during the performance or was it just one take? normally a prerecorded track is necessary while shooting a movie to keep track of the different parts in the editing process. Was there a live band ? Did she sing over the prerecorded tape?

Of course, the possibility that the soundtrack could have been ready before the movie production begun is still an option.
