Nicki I have a soft spot for because she's been there since I first got in to pop music and dominated the landscape when I was in school. On the other hand.... it's 2018. Can we not have this Female 1 vs. Female 2 debate? I understand this thread is harmful but it won't be long before the twinks start swarming with comments about Nicki's career being dead. She enhances any track shes asked to feature on, her solo material is fire, and shes actually a super talented rapper that also pays homage to the genre and is a clever lyricist. Cardi is hot right now, and sure there are plenty of reasons to not think Nicki is too great a person, but she's probably still gonna be "queen of rap" until someone comes and dethrones her with real talent and impact I like Cardi though (But I do think her blatantly copying other flows is quite... ) and wish her success. I just feel like Nicki has been dominating for so many years, it’s REFRESHING to see a new female rapper on the rise.. I know as Cardi continues to rise, Nicki VS Cardi wars will be Inevitable, but hopefully they can both share the throne, and the the fandoms won’t run everything.. Shes been big for a minute and you guys are already comparing her to the woman who literally made female rap mainstream again? Not to mention most of Cardi's music has been ghost written and her success is mostly due to hip hop men pushing for it to become successful. Please dont compare Cardi who literally has minimal flow to nicki minaj who has been serving bars lately. Motorsport is enough evidence for whos the better rapper. Before anyone says im a hater, it just annoys me how everyone is overhyping Cardi so much and constantly trying to tear down Nicki, invalidating all of her achievements.
