Fame IV 4,426
First of all, Gaga's music, charisma and stage presence. You should write about her performances and the way she has influenced and changed pop culture. The achievements such as Guinness World Records, three Brit Awards, six Grammy Awards, and awards from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. 27 million albums and 146 million singles sold (one of the best-selling music artists of all time). The philanthropic work and social activism, including LGBT rights, and for her non-profit organization, the Born This Way Foundation (promoting youth empowerment and combating bullying). Florian 19,952
In a world more divided than ever since WW2 she's a bridge between countries, communities, and generations like no other popstar is. She's not scared to take stance in her music and her activism. From the early LGBT focused activisim of her career, she expended to sexual abuses and mental illness. She's always preaching for acceptance and tolerance may be she be in the US, in Malaysia or in Russia. If I had to name THE artist who tries to make a change in the world that would be Gaga. For the musical part you can't avoid her influence in the industry : she is the trend setter. She brought back music genre, the importance of visuals, the value of entertainment, etc. You can also talk about the recognition from the industry, the praise from legendary artists she collabed with etc. She's also one of the biggest touring force ever, she has that ability to gather people because they know it'll be a great show. noisullitcefrep 3,871
Her extreme versatility in not only in music but also in her looks and performances etc. Then of course her activism for the LGBTQ-community or victims of sexual assault, for example. And obviously her impact on pop music. And many other things, way too much to mention everything here
FfFfFfFF 55,680
She is a trendsetter and changed the perception of pop world forever, she is one of the most unique artists, never afraid to take risks and people's opinions - as an introduction and then you could write about her ideas/ ''ideology'': as she was the first major mainstream musical artist to explore public fascination with the darkness and the obscure, and that she released an album about the dark side of fame and about personal fears, this kind of duality. She has a meteoric rise to fame, but soon she started to experience this dark side, also you could that about the way she kinda promote (?) the concept of ''blond pop princess'' as a cultural stereotype, like a pop standard and then about ARTPOP's theme: the compatibility of art and pop, the fact that she references a lot of pop icons and musicians, but also Greek and Roman mythology and Chatolicism. Also, I'd write about her rawness and constant self-expression because she never was afraid to appear vulnerable so this, along with the uncontrolabe way ARTPOP era turned to be, she is not a manufacturated artisti at her core. Also, you could talk about her ''veneration'' of family and how affective she is with fans too. Then there's also the BTW theme: self-expression. that's wat I'd write at least, there are a lot of good ideas in this thread also.
ARTPOP2 3,948
Talk about all of her collaborations with other artists (Koons, Bob Wilson, Inez and Vinoodh, etc.) Talk about her message of love, tolerance, compassion (the BTW foundation, meat dress, etc.) Talk about how she empowers youth and values their creativity (the Haus of Gaga, the TechHaus, etc.) Talk about how she brought technology and used it in pop culture and pop music. How she always want to connect with her fans and values their creativity (littlemonsters.com, ARTPOP app, etc.) Good luck !!!
