This is incredibly a huge relief. My power bank broke down a few weeks ago, and it's been such a hassle relieving my battery every so hours, especially when I'm out. 2018's on to a great start already

I always upgraded release day every year so I've never had battery issues.

Oh good, they dropped prices of battery replacements!  Maybe now I can have my dad and cousin’s phone batteries replaced

Notice how they still didn't say they'll be stopping the algorithm? Shame on them. Most non iOS phones don't do that and people understand that when their phones start shutting down faster than usual then it's time for a new battery. 

Oh how far a class action lawsuit can take you.

The problem is with batteries that age and Apple slowing down the phones instead of warning them of needing a new battery. If you keep upgrading each September then I doubt you'll ever feel a slower iPhone because your battery cycle probably still has a lot left to offer.

In the end us iPhone owners got screwed by Apple. We paid $900 for this **** and yet the batteries are shitty. Idk, I probably won't buy another Apple product after this. I mean like, this company be shady af.

It’s awesome that they reduced the price for new batteries, but honestly this all wasn’t necessary. It’s common sense that a battery degrades over time, and figuring out a way with software to counteract and deal with it is the obvious thing to do.

It was a good move for the 6, 6S and SE. Those were getting old and i've seen them shutdown unexpectedly many times on a lower charge. Where they've screwed up is them applying it to the 7. The 7 is known to be a fast device and with the 8's release and the 7 suddenly slowing down people were convinced of planned obsolescence. Batteries are supposed to last more than a year anyway.
