I mean, with Christmas there's a lot of different things you can talk about, but with New Years, it's not like this huge, planned out event. Christmas is like a season, but New Years is literally just the minute after 12:00, then some fireworks, and then everyone's done. Plus, after everyone's done with Christmas, they probably wouldn't want to hear more "festive" songs for a while. And she didn't inspire every singer out there. The truth is, today she's known for that song. She kind of ruined her legacy a bit with the bad performing and lip syncing over the years.
