britneyspears 497
Does Lana hate the remixes by Cedric Gervais? She has never stated her feelings for the remix, though she did shade the remix once at a concert. Were the Untouchable 5 material for Paradise or another album? They were created around the time for Paradise, but also when she was recording stuff for Ultraviolence. So they're in-between tracks. Where is the original video for Ultraviolence? Many of the clips from the original video were recycled for the Freak video. We do not have the full version, though. Did she know Gaga back in 2008? Yes. 'So Legit' indicates that they knew each other somewhat personally, alongside the fact that Lana has been invited to some of Gaga's events even relatively recently. I agree with everything else but this, they have constantly stated they never met each other but So Legit says otherwise so im confused... Plus I am really glad they squashed any hard feelings but I feel like Lana was only Friends with Gaga when she was with Taylor cause I haven't seen them together since Messy, Petty, Beautiful, Covergirl
Lona Delery 7,214
Does Lana hate the remixes by Cedric Gervais? Yes, she made a comment at one of her shows once. Were the Untouchable 5 material for Paradise or another album? They were for the Paradise follow-up when she did not have the UV concept in mind yet. Where is the original video for Ultraviolence? It got recycled into Freak Did she know Gaga back in 2008? Most probably, no. They have probably seen each other perform, but they probably never really met or talked to each other. Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Miss Lana Del Rey Does Lana hate the remixes by Cedric Gervais? Were the Untouchable 5 material for Paradise or another album? Where is the original video for Ultraviolence? Did she know Gaga back in 2008? 1. Lana hasn't necessarily said she hates them, but before performing Summertime Sadness one time she commented that "someone remixed the **** out of it" 2. Both. It's generally accepted that JFK, Hollywood, and Starry Eyed were meant for Paradise while Angels Forever and Black Beauty were the ones meant for the "OG Ultraviolence". Unsure of how we got AFFA to be for UV other than the rockish tone to it but she did comment that at least a couple (meaning two) were meant for her next album and she felt unmotivated and lost on what to do after they leaked. 3. Not in the hands of any hoarders or leakers that's for sure. The video was scrapped for it's cult-y undertones and heavy drug use depicted in the video. With Ultraviolence (the album) getting a lot of negative reviews towards the glorification of some rather deplorable issues, the label felt that the video would be too much for her already tainted reputation during the era. You can find scenes of it intertwined into the Music To Watch Boys To video and the video for Freak was entirely using the footage. 4. This one is HEAVILY debated on, the only way I can see fit is that they knew each other through their shared manager (for a moment) Bob Leone. He met Gaga in 2001 (iirc) and Lana in about 2006, and eventually stayed with Gaga until she also dropped him. There's also speculation that Gaga caused the break up between Lana her then boyfriend, Arthur. But that's totally speculation based upon a vague post on Arthur's blog. an angel held me like a child

This clips featured in Freak (all scenes in Freak) and MTWBT (only the water scenes in MTWBT) are the Ultraviolence video. You might be getting confused with Mass Shooting and Mass Suicide since the video was based on the Jim Jones cult, who committed mass suicide by drinking poisoned Kool-Aid (which you can see Lana also doing in the video for Freak!) an angel held me like a child

Did her dad buy her way into the music industry? Is it true she pretended to be poor and live in a trailer park for aesthetic? 1. Depends, I guess. Lana is not very open about her personal life and a lot of what know about her is what we have uncovered as a fanbase ourselves. Some of the Ride monologue can kind of relate to her but then again it could entirely relate to her and we just don't know it yet! Though, I do believe she is playing a role. 2. Not really. What she's done had been built up over the course of almost 6 years (from 2006 - 2011) and executed by herself for the most part. I'm sure he gave her some money to make sure she could live on her own but her success was more on her on two shoulders. 3. No, not at all. After she was signed to her first label, they gave her about 40k for recording music and stuff like that so she used the money and found a trailer in New Jersey with the rent at about $600. She was trying to find a cheap and affordable place with some money to probably spend on the production of her music (which she began her very first album soon after she moved!) an angel held me like a child

Perfume 8,801
1 hour ago, Gagadonna said: What happened to the original LDR4? I read that Lust For Life was supposed to be entirely different from half the album! There's nothing confirmed about if LDR5 was actually different in the beginning. We assume it did have a different title, though I'm doubting the legitimacy of that due to her stating Lust for Life was one of the earliest songs for the record and always meant to be the title track. Lana has also said that she wrote some of the "darker" songs first such as Get Free, Heroin, 13 Beaches (which was originally a song called Something Real) and then the election rolled around and she wrote songs like God Bless America, When The World Was At War, etc and then finally towards the very end she began wanting to bring her friends onto songs so we see Summer Bummer, Groupie Love, The Weeknd's parts on Lust for Life, etc. The earliest songs known for the record are Lust for Life, Beautiful People, and Wild One (which has not leaked). Lust for Life began with a different structure having the "take off, take off, take off all your clothes" part as actually a part of a verse and the whole song had a "Blade Runner" feeling to it. When she met with Max Martin, he suggested changing that part of the song to a chorus so they rewrote the song into a more pop sound and Lana called The Weeknd in for some parts in it. In the end they ended up with two products, a "beautiful ballad" (as said by the producer of the song, Rick Nowels) and the one we have now. Beautiful People first began as a solo demo done with Justin Parker, probably in the same sessions as Wild One since that's also done by him. With it eventually progressing into a duet with Stevie due to Rick Nowel's friendship with her. Stevie went in and had all of her parts done within 20 minutes and stayed with the team telling stories from the 70s, with much admiration from Lana. Get Free was also a very early song, with the original title being "Malibu", and it detailed Lana's career throughout the past 6 years. Lana felt it was too raw and deleted all of Malibu and rewrote the song entirely leaving it less open. She also left out the lines "For Amy and For Whitney" in the first verse of the song, though she has sung it live once. Lana said she showed A$AP four songs towards the end of the record's progress and he really loved Groupie Love the most so he chose that one to feature on, and I'm assuming Summer Bummer was another one of those song she showed him unless they already had that one done previously. Change was a song that was done literally the day before the album was submitted to the label for completion, Lana came into the studio saying she wanted it on the record so her and Rick stayed up all night completing it and it was finished fast enough to make the cut. Coachella was a song she wrote while heading back from Coachella 2017, she previewed the song in an Instagram post in April with the song coming about a month later in May! Tomorrow Never Came was also a solo song in the beginning, with Lana's demo being very simplistic, consisting of an organ and another instrument i cant remember. She thought of Sean because of the Lennon and Yoko line and when asked if he'd want to feature on it he immediately said yes. Sean put in almost all the rest of the instruments into the song and when Lana heard she said it was perfect. Love had to be completed by April 2016 since thats when a hoarder had gotten his hands on the song and tweeted lyrics to it. Best American Record was probably not included on the final tracklisting due to Yosemite also being scrapped due to it's too happy nature that Lana said she wasn't ready for, and with Best American Record being the ying to Yosemite's yang (Lana's words not mine) it was of course also taken out. Due to all of these things, I don't believe the album had changed that much. Just fans blaming people who posted Love and BAR early. an angel held me like a child
