She has been called out many times about where the money of the BTW Foundation goes. As for her political activism, well, that's basically nonexistent since BTW. But well, keep trying and blindly justifying everything Gaga does.

sftdasidguaysdd MESS

she supported obama's second term election

she gave a speech at an LGBT ralley during her hip recovery black out

she completely embraced LGBT culture in her ARTPOP merch

she gave an emotional speech at the orlando pulse shooting memorial

she was VERY vocal about being against trump, totally endorsed hillary

she has repeatedly called out trump on twitter

she literally has the song Come To Mama on her record which she performs with an LGBT flag every night

don't forget the mental health campaign with the one and only prince william

LastNight

I'm surprised at these meltdowns. Gaga is going to kill it! She'll be amazing and she's part of a generation reinventing the concept of a Vegas residency - I think it's really exciting to be honest.

I also think it makes it really obvious that not only will we get a new album next year, but that she and her team are planning on it being a big era for her. The Superbowl has secured her an amazing tour with Joanne and it was the cherry on top of her reinvention plan (it pretty much sealed the deal for people to fall back in love with her). She'll probably reap the rewards of that performance for the rest of her career. However, things move so fast nowadays so I have no doubts that she and her team are planning big things to build up hype again for the residency. Gaga can sell a world tour even without a blockbuster album era (ArtRave says 'hello'!) but to draw in crowds to the same venue night after night she'll need to do something to pique everyone's interest again.

We need to remember that she and her team have done a phenomenal job of managing her career the past few years. Getting everything back on track after the mismanaged ARTPOP era was no easy task but they've done incredible things: AHS, A Star is Born, Cheek To Cheek, 5F2, The Superbowl, all the awards performances, the Grammy, the Golden Globe, an Oscar nom...The past few years have been AMAZING and I have complete faith in them with this, they're smart and they know what they're doing, so we should chill out and enjoy the ride.

I mean the super bowl show I saw included Latina women, anti trump messagery, and a full performance of Born This Way. That’s on top of the reported $2M personal donation to disaster relief in Mexico and $1m elsewhere, the frequent campaigning with political figures and royalty for causes she believes in, partnerships with non-BTWF charities, constantly pushing monsters to contribute to charity, and THEN the work the BTWF does.

I guess the personal donations don’t mean much to her though with her newly inked $100m Vegas deal and everything ;)

Tbh the first three really did damage her career a bit. There's no denying it. And I believe no one ever said the doc would be a threat to her career?

If talking about Gay rights ruined her career then how is 99% of her fans gay? :selena: Heck how did she invent homosexuality?

People did say a lot of horrible things the second people found out that it was going to shed light on her medical health.

I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half

It’s literally the equivalent of a cruise ship performer. The same set 50 nights so cool

I don’t think cruise ship performers get 100 mill and thousands of paying fans a night :selena:

Just no :toofunny:

Also the $400,000 figure being thrown around is a ****ing joke.

Mac capacity is 5,200.

that number times $100 per ticket, literally Halsey ticket prices, is about $520,000.

If you think Gaga isn’t going to get a **** ton of money out of this, I really don’t know what to tell you

She donated $2 million for the Mexico earthquake, the BTWF is building centers for sexual abuse survivors in association with Joe Biden, a few weeks ago they teamed with Rubicon for demolition due to water damage from hurricaine Harvey, at the JWT in Florida she urged the attendees to sign forms so that every african american in the state is able to vote

so clearly, she is as political as ever

It has to be a troll in the guise of a Gaga fan.

Madonna fan...comes around to drag Gaga every few months...says they are done...months later comes back says they are done....months later....

It's a way to be constantly negative, or yes, troll.

I didn’t say it ruined her career. Did I?

The 99% stat is also not correct. 99% of her stans may in fact be gay but I can assure you that she’s got plenty of straight casual fans.

Not that it matters. What I was trying to say is that BTW really alienated some of her fanbase and the gp. It is an important album for most of the stans but at the same time it was just awkward to some people for whatever reason. Well, I wouldn’t want her to not release it.
