Wait, if this is a 'side project' and she'll still do a world tour for LG6, I'm  more or less fine with it.
If the residency counts as the LG6 tour and she pays dust to Europe, I will be mad Hope it's the first.

Festivals in Europe instead maybe? I would f-ing love that cos festivals can generate more buzz and headlines sometimes... different type of show...

I'm mixed on my opinion? I'm happy that shes stoked, and its certainly better than her disappearing off the face of the earth and like......farming, at least from a marketing perspective, but I'm worried about the repercussions to her career.

Not that popularity or fame is the number one concern because it certainly isn't but. I also have a history of getting bored with musicians and like..... I love her A Lot so I don't want that to happen.

but whatever! if this makes her happy then I'm happy for her!

If you need me, you know where to find me: seeking validation and self-love in my dumpster

You know a lot of you are acting like Vegas is the grave of careers because you all made it out to be :awkney: if Vegas was know as the place for legends then y’all would’ve reacted differently :awkney:

Uh Red Wine... Convict... Gah Gah...

Same. I'm a little worried too. If only cos of the "stigma" that there seems to be attached to these things. She needs LG6 to make waves and do other shows and festivals during the residency but would she be pushing herself too much then? :/

Well this is just BORING of her... it’s like she’s trying to give me reasons to stop being a fan.

She cancelled her concerts here in Europe with weeks to go before they were due because she was in too much pain but now signs two years of shows in the US... she’s taking the piss... not everyone can afford to go and see her... plus this really is the start of the end I think...

what I mean is that the Superbowl, the residency... Joanne, it’s all just her collecting her rent from her 2008-2010 success. There has been nothing new, exciting or interesting from her in years... and when she puts out a beautiful song like Million Reasons or `the Cure, she messes it all up with bad decisions like no (or terrible) videos.

if she really ‘is a star like Liza or Cher’ she needs to get back on that hussle and start earning it because otherwise her fanbase will just decrease little by little and she will only ever live 0ff the fame in 2008-2010.

This is my opinion. I am entitled to it.

It is avtualy a place of legends - Elton John, Cher, Mariah, Britney, Celine, Tonny Bennett, even Elvis and Sinatra had/have residencies there, I'm actualy proud and happy of/for Gaga + she seems to be realy excited about that so I'm also excited what will that turn to. :firega:

Waiiiit. She's getting $390K per show?

Um she has gotten 2 million dollars at her each shows in Las Vegas. Plus she'd even gross more if, oh I don't know, she included Asian and Oceania dates instead of doing this.

Gaga and the Haus strike again. :air: Too much

do you all not understand the difference between gross gate receipts and net to the artist?

Travelling every night from country to country is a bit different than doing 36 shows in 2 years in Vegas.

I admittedly had a kneejerk reaction of 'wtf' to this, because I've always associated a Vegas residency to be how artists retire, but it actually makes sense, and like many of you have noted, it's probably along the lines of the Bruno Mars things where it's not 'every night for the next however many years'.

I think this is a good thing for Gaga to be able to perform without the strain of touring. Whether we like it or not, her body is not always on the same page as her ambition and creativity, and this will allow for some much needed rest and not so much of the tour life.

Again, not sure how this will go down. I have a lot of questions. But hey, it pays, and lets our gurl perform. We'll see!
