Corporate centralization at its finest---kinda like Amazon acquiring Whole Paycheck--excuse me, Whole Foods....

I'm sure Disney will pump up their own services. I mean all their movies and any 21st Fox movie is basically a Disney original content as well :poot:

true but netflix has a lot of original content that i really enjoy so i'll just revert back to DVDs

we don't get Hulu here :selena:

Disney already have plan for streaming service, they have announced it in August this year (2017) that they plan to launch in 2019, and have stated they indeed will pull their films and shows from Netflix. ( https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/08/disney-will-pull-its-movies-from-netflix-and-start-its-own-streaming-services.html ) //  ( https://www.forbes.com/sites/alishagrauso/2017/11/10/disney-shows-business-savvy-with-pricing-and-original-content-plans-for-its-streaming-service/#6d54fb124fb1 )

Many people think Hulu fits into this, they will just rebrand it as Disney streaming service and perhaps with new subscription fee too. And I assume popular TV shows like AHS and Legion will be subscription only when that happen, if they don't cancel it.

I doubt that. I assume Disney want to expand audiences that is why they bought 20th Century Fox entertainment assets.

What they can't show on Disney brand, they will show it on another brands.

This is what I don't really get from the responses here.

Most here are like "omg mah X-Men" or "Disney screams quality so I'm fine with that"
but the thing is since Disney is buying everything, you get everything from them.
They control all the way from making the film to you seeing it (with their streaming service) and could potentially charge a lot more money.

I hope Disney is not buying one of the major record labels as well.

No, because they didn't take over a company. Fox was selling their assets.

Probably not, I think it's going the same way with Marvel and Lucasfilm.
They own them, they don't take over their brand (could you imagine Fox getting replaced with Disney tho? :air:)
