Maybe she could do Joanne instead, then hype us. I mean... it's her best album (personally) and the most catchy one.It really had nice lyrics and good bops! I can't believe it was that underrated What do you think?I think it'd sell sure more than Witness and could be same as Lemonade last year I always listen to it,and bop to songs to this day Her experimentality amazes me on that album Gurl, believe me, i've been furious for years about this but i just got over it cause it's never gonna happen and i just appreciate the ARTPOP that we got. I'm always here for new leaked Act 2 tracks tho
Trxstan 1,619
Certain elements of certain songs make it a red herring, and not in a good way. The concept is phenomenal and ahead of its time (combining art styles of the past and present with Koons and Botticelli), but the sound, not so much. For example, the buildup to the climax in Swine feels very late 2000's that you could find in any club. And the heavy beat in DWUW has been done before. Certain songs, maybe like ARTPOP or Venus, might work, but they are exceptions to the general trend. woop hey there keep scrolling

Jewels N Drugs, Donatella, Gypsy, and Swine all sound stuck in 2013 Aura, Venus, and Sexxx Dreams are the only songs that sound timeless to me. Dont get me wrong, I love ARTPOP. But hard-hitting EDM is just not the “thing” right now. The trend is smooth, chill, electronica-esque music, with influences of hip-hop.
TropicOfCANCER 6,292
no. pop girls are flopping as is, and this sound isnt popular. it would do worse now.
androiduser 7,438
I don't think so.... maybe with a completely different lead (Gypsy) and completely different promo without pretentious hyping and art talk about pop songs about sex
ElectricAlley 1,737
I think she should have released it in 2012, or early 2013 tbh. It would have done much better without almost every other pop girl releasing at the same time.
monketsharona 81,712
Maybe produced by some other people Even if dance music will always work I doubt such hard ARTPOP EDM of some songs would go crazy on the radios in 2018... At this point I think her music from TF / TFM or BTW are much more timeless
Chr 4,217
Ummmmm no I love the album but whenever I listen to it, it feels like I time traveled back to 2013/14 and that’s not good . It should have been released in 2011/2012 at the height of the EDM epidemic and then when 2013 came around and the sound faded away she should have released singles like applause and Venus which sound more pop gaga than EDM Gaga. Twitter 14
I think ARTPOP would’ve been better released in 2012-2013 than 2017 imo!
ryanripley 86,575
sorry but it would sound incredibly dated https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ
Luxe Ford 3,481
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Bickering about EDM being in or out of date this or that year in this decade? Electronic dance exploded all over Europe in the late 1980's. Ok, you weren't born then, but I urge anyone to read up on their history because without it you are n o b o d y ! ! ! ARTPOP was the album I allways wanted from Gaga even from the start (July, 2009 for me). I was drawn to the phenomenon of Lady Gaga before the music of her and spent hours and hours daydreaming of masterminding her career in the direction I wanted it to go. And then ARTPOP, the answer to my dreams, came and I ended up having to defend it for years because so many people didn't get it. Now back to class, children! Spit, spot. Off you trot... What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford
