While TF is too cohesive and many songs just blend in, Joanne on the other hand has versatility and one could make an album out of almost every song . For me The Fame is less diverse and less memorable compared to her other albums, more mainstream and a little impersonal, still an enjoyable album. I agree TFM, BTW and ARTPOP outshine it. Off-beat lyrics, great melodies, thought-out concepts, unique perspective, insane hooks, etc. I think that on other albums she has tended to trade one for the other even if the other strengths were stronger and showing growth.
