The Caribbean is different islands w different cultures and yes I agree w you, there’s lots of homophobia but I’d say it’s not that bad especially if you compare it w the Middle East for example The level of homophobia in the Caribbean I'd say is comparable w the US (but again, the Caribbean is a bunch of different cultures so one island might be better than another in terms of homophobia). the Caribbean is not a monolith Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bermuda is a self-governing territory with their own parliament and so can pass their own laws. England legalising it for England and Wales only doesn't mean anything in relation to the status of same-sex marriage in the other countries of the UK or overseas territories, as same-sex marriage is a devolved issue.
