(the two Jewish Republicans- one who was just elected, so it previously was just one) The point of these types of events are to show that the United States government respects and represents its constituents. It's not about a political battle of Democrats and Republicans, it's for Jewish families to see that the government has representatives they can look to and trust to consider their interests as a minority.
