It was around the time Poker Face was released. I really liked the song and the music video and was waiting for The Fame to come out so I could buy it but she recorded an acoustic version of Poker Face and I was like "Wow, this isn't just another popstar, she does have a great voice and is very talented".

I loved Gaga from the moment I first heard her on the radio, BUT I would say the performance that made me a hardcore stand was 09 VMAs Paparazzi performance. That was iconic.

Bad Monster Kid

The 2008 SYTYCD performance of Just Dance. Immediately bought the The Fame on iTunes when it was done and got my life. I was working at a retail store at the time and would play the entire album after hours. My boss at the time was a huge Madonna fan and he instantly loved it. Now he’s a huge fan of both and goes to multiple tour dates. That’s what we call doing God’s work.

I was a fan starting at the Poker Face era.

But the combination of the 2009 VMA's performance, along with having to pull over in my car out of sheer excitement hearing Bad Romance for the first time.  Those are what led me to being a stan.

And everything she's done since then has just made me love her more! She just keeps getting better and better!

This performance has a special place in my heart...I just remember being stunned by her presence, look (that dress and make-up!) and vocals...by the minute she walked towards us through the fog...Unforgettable! :flutter:

But I wouldn't say that it made me straight a hard-core fan...it was more like a first step to get to know her better and giving her music another chance.

Delusional Aura

It was Paparazzi the song that is. I remember watching her perform the song live and was like why the f is her voice so heavy when she's singing live compared to the studio version i absolutely love when it was playing on MTV (Yep this **** network was lit back then), and ever since i've become a hunty and never turned back.
