Her vocals had that raw husk to it still, and it was just like "... who in the world is this " but it all sort of made sense. She's come such a long way Yes! Also, the old lady in my heart was GIDDY that she was poppin' Charleston dance moves to a pop song.

hausofcy 20,369
The first song that I really liked was paparazzi. Just dance and poker face were nice on the radio but I never searched for them on YouTube. When I searched for paparazzi this performance came up: she slayed my existence without moving from that one spot. Everything about this performance is perfect. Then I saw somewhere that she was performing on the vmas that same week. After that i’ve been obsessed ever since.

I knew the moment I laid my eyes on her she was the one. this one It intrigued me, and she was different from a lot of other performers at the time...she actually sang live and danced and had an interesting aesthetic

justanothergay 2,486
For me it has been very gradual. I remember being ~10 and hearing Beautiful, Dirty, Rich in my sister's car and definitely being interested. Although her performances definitely snatch my wig, I really truly became a LM this year just because I feel like I've gotten to know her through Joanne and interviews. Music is only half of it for me, the other half is just who she is. that boy that boy that boy that boy that boy That Boy THAT BOY is a MONSTER
