You would want to extend more undemocratic law making powers to more non-democratically elected bureaucrats? Wow.

It's kind of obvious that things will get more democratic once Europe get federalized. Also, we have EU elections here so :poot:

You can't be serious, surely? All it would lead to is further derogation of domestic law. We elect national Parliaments to make law, not to hand that power over to unelected bodies.

Yah, everyone does, then all the decisions are made by unelected officials.

You know, I'd be really happy if someone in this thread explained to me the following:

why were the trading, financial, economic, labor and migration levels of integration not enough for the EU? What was the need for the political level, too, for creating this ground for the future conflicts between the national governments and the general EU line? :oprah:

thanks :unicorn:

And?

It's of course that you are biased since your little country is slipping into irrelevancy once they are completely out.

I think you're the one that's biased if you believe a 'United States of Europe' would be more democratic than it currently is. Delusional, actually.

Still a superpower sis.

There was absolutely no need, which is why we are currently in the position we are with some member states leaving and others considering it.

They hate nationalism is the short answer and couldn't bear to think that a country could govern itself without guidance/interference from a supranational body.

for how long will they try and claim that title though? Banks are slowly moving to mainland europe now. It's too risky to have your company in the UK now.

Exhibit A. You're biased.

I want some source which says that UK is a superpower :rip: As long as you can give me a reliable source, you are wrong.
