The Republican tax bill is getting dismal reviews from the American public as it moves closer to becoming law.

Two new polls released Tuesday found that the plan was deeply unpopular with most Americans, with many voters saying they believe it would not benefit them and would mostly assist wealthier people.

A Gallup poll found that 29% of people surveyed approved of the GOP tax bill, named the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, while 56% disapproved.

Among Republicans, 70% approved, compared with 7% for Democrats. Independents joined Democrats in relative distaste, with 25% of those polled approving of the legislation and 56% disapproving.

And a poll from Quinnipiac University also found that 29% of those surveyed approved of the bill while 53% disapproved.

In a state like Alabama, they can get a pedo elected. Let's see how more moderate states and districts feel about this. Independents don't like the plan either.

Many took for granted Trump losing, now that he's in and doing what he's doing, that'll likely motivate democrats to the polls in 2018

For midterms? Democrats aren't real reliable on those...plus, states have been gerrymandered to hell and back. Conservatives can hate the President, but will still want a good ole boy Republican representing them in their state. 

It will be interesting to see if any of this makes a difference in turnout and if enough areas are viable to flip. We shall see.

The 2017 elections were good for democrats despite not even being a midterm.
