As if the middle east didn't cause its own problems all by themselves with the religion dilemma. Everything is about religion, the yemeni civil war, and many others in the past. Always religion and sure other countries trying to solve it make it worse sometimes. But the middle east has always been a mess let's not try to dismiss that cause it's politically correct to say white people ruin everything

The Middle East area has always had issues, sure. But destabilizing the Ottoman empire after WW, creating a mindless conflict (Iraqi War), and Israel taking land from Palestine were all issues started by outside forces.

It isn’t.

If the United States moved the embassy to Jerusalem, it would mean that the US effectively recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. That would overturn 70 years of international consensus, and, many argue, would effectively signal the end of moves to achieve peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Thank you for actually being on topic

I’d have to agree

River

It's the most idiotic move ever, not at this moment especially, Israel lived just fine with the US embassy in Tel-Aviv, I don't see a reason why they can't wait a little bit *longer*..

First, the gays that works at the embassy will be pissed off to leave Tel-Aviv :selena:

Second, It will burn the middle east and it's scary, it's irresponsible!!!

Third, the threats of "burning the area" from the Arabic leaders are dangerous and shouldn't have been said..

At the end it's just a piece of land... there's nothing holy in this city, trust me..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Please stop throwing "anti-semite" everywhere you go. He's asking about the land, not the Jews / people themselves. God.

So saying Palestinians in the diaspora should just go to USA, is completely okay to you, too? :oprah:

No, the user was just questioning Israel's reason for being built, that's it. If you think about it in another way, it would have been logical for the Jews to migrate to America rather than build a new land to themselves and receive backlash from it. Not everything said is anti-Semitic, just mere discussion.

Disagreed.

Sis, never heard of the Farhud, Safed or Hebron massacre? Anti semitism always existed in every culture. It’s not a White European thing. Israel is the historically home and the mufti of Pslestine even allied with the Nazis :emma:

Sis Arab people didn’t send Jewish people to the gas chambers. You can view history through some narrow lens all you want, but anti Semitism in Europe is the root cause of the creation of The modern day Israeli state... A jewish person was still better off living in any Middle Eastern country than anywhere in Europe, especially Germany, throughout the early 20th, 19th, 18th, 17th..etc. Centuries. It’s clear from some of your responses in this thread that you have the tendency to equate anyone questioning the creation of the Israeli state to antisemitism...

Anyway back on topic: Trump is fanning flames with this move.

Sis, just because anti-semitism had it peak in Europe, doesn't mean that anti-semitism in other countries didn't exist. What kind of logic is that :rip:

Where did I say that lol???? A majority of jewish people lived in Eastern Europe, and a **** ton of people were killed there by Nazi Germany... Again cherry pick events in history in the attempt to make Arabs seem so Anti-Semitic that kicking Palestinians off their land to house displaced Jews from the cruelty of Europeans was justified... but anyway I digress... Israel is a nation, Palestine is a nation. What’s happened has happened, and Trump shouldn’t make the situation worse by effectively recognizing Israel’s unfair occupation of East jerusalem, which should belong to the Palestinian nation state.

You accuse me of things that you are actually doing :rip:  Where did I deny here European anti-semitism? Where did I say Arab anti-semitism is worse? It's a FACT that Arab countries displaced Jewish people in their countries. Just because that European anti-semitism was worse, doesn't mean that Arab countries weren't anti-semitic.  More than half of Israeli Jews are from Arab countries.
