It's not like parents force you to wear pink, to get a barbie etc. It's kinda exaggerated nowadays as if parents really try to push their kids to have interests that coincide with their gender. It's not like that, maybe in the 50s, but it's been so long since parents let their daughter play soccer, enjoy soccer, or not enjoy wearing dresses etc. I know and I'm aware that it's not what Pink is doing but what if parents in the future will tell their kids they have no gender, how dangerous will that be, to tell someone you have no identity, as human beings we thrive on identity, we need to identify to something, to a group, or else we die. If it goes to that extreme it's gonna be really sad Actually, it's P!nk's own daughter who choose to live gender neutral. That's something that not many people in this thread understand. And parents do force gender on kids. Just look at sex reveal parties for the unborn. Do you really think parents are letting their boys play with Barbies and makeup? Just because P!nk's daughter is gender neutral doesn't mean she has an identity....
DeleteMyAccount 11,881
This thread already concludes that the people making jokes have no real sense of what gender neutral is.
ryanripley 86,575
i love how this people reacting with laughter, as if this is some toxic **** ya'll should be raising your kids like this instead of forcing them into boxes of what they have to be https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ
skaxboy 5,669
It’s good that she’s letting her child pick what she wants to wear, regardless if it was intended for a boy or girl or if it was the color p!nk or not. But tbh, girls have an easier time being into “boy things” rather than the other way around. Usually parents just say their daughters are going thru a “tomboy” phase if she wears girl clothes. Plus, it’s totally acceptable for a girl to like super hero’s and cars etc (which is totally awesome) however, boys who play with Barbies and stuff aren’t really accepted in society. Hell, even that Moschino Barbie commercial with the little boy in it gets so much negativity. I appreciate Pink for doing this and it fits her persona so well. I would just like to see if her and her husband would publicly do the same if they had a son.

thatsmoneyhoney 807
The way I see it, it's not about removing her daughter's identity. It's giving her daughter the freedom to explore and find out what she likes and dislikes. Personally, I think that all children should have the freedom to explore and discover their identities. P!nk is a great mother, no matter what anyone says, for letting her daughter be her daughter. free my mind
TimisaMonster 31,073
This is so confusing...like....shes a child...and what the heck does genderless even mean? Shes not a boy....or a girl? She's a girl and Pink has a daughter and even said "she"....soooooo.... I already know it won't be a popular opinion, but I know I'm not the only one reading this like....thats a bit much Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Lol I could see her using the same philosophy for her son.
SchwineLove 1,374
This is way too complicated for me to choose my response. I dunno if it is a good thing or not. I mean, I have concern but I don't know Pink that much, like how is she way of thinking. Personally the decision is difficult for me, but if Pink is ready for it and has knowledge in it, well she could be a role model and pioneering it
ctherainbow 3,162
I'm not not sure Pink means "genderless", exactly, but more along the lines of "not raised within pointless, arbitrary, and toxic social expectations of gender", which is literally how every child should be raised. Or maybe she means truly genderless, in which case, hopefully it turns out well. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with suggesting most typically gendered things to your child of that gender, as long as you're not forcing them to partake in them, and allowing them to go in different directions if they wish. But perhaps raising a child with no gendered suggestion is superior; I don't know Pink's kids, so I don't know. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.
