Think people have got it mixed up. under the video she posted silence = death. (That's whats toxic)

Its referring to aids not being spoken about enough high up esp the president, not rushing it as one of the priorities, that's the point.

Think people think, it shouldn't have to be put on a plate for you.

I can understand why people dont like her, to get it needs work like a Banksy. Its easier to say I dont like it rather than I dont get it. I get that. At least she did something even if it was in her closet haha, who else did?

It doesn't even matter if she has the worst voice in the world, it projecting people to think. That's artistry. Its hard to understand why people dont sit and think about something till they get their own conclusion and go 'oh yeah'. its quicker to write and say 'its ****'. Its our downfall, we can use these times on forums before somebody like Trump tries to get them shut down to listen to each other and help each other to be a bit better.

Who else is saying this in the pop world? Yall homos shes tried to help your future to be better and youd rather kick her in the stomach

Yeah, sure under the video she posted silence=death. But it doesn't seem like she is alluding to the fact that being in silence is toxic, and more so making the point that she is speaking up because silence is death and we need to talk. She also wrote "Song For World AIDS Day! 🌎🌍🌏. #toxic #poisonparadise" right afterwards...

It still seems a little poorly thought out, especially considering the association with AIDS and toxic 'biohazard' symbols. The lyrics of the song are also clearly about a lover who is toxic and how, although it's dangerous, she is loving it.

She is singing lyrics like:

"Taste of your lips
I'm on a ride
You're toxic I'm slippin' under
With the taste of a poison paradise

I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?"

It feels a little icky when you realise it's a song she is singing to bring attention to AIDS and the lyrics don't really paint a picture of somebody whose silence is toxic...

"Think people think, it shouldn't have to be put on a plate for you."

When it comes to something like this, it probably kinda should be obvious what your message is. I think it's obvious she is overall doing something very positive, but I think it's also okay to point out that this particular post felt... sloppy.

"I can understand why people dont like her, to get it needs work like a Banksy. Its easier to say I dont like it rather than I dont get it. I get that."

While Madonna truly is a very intelligent and transgressive artist, you can't really compare this particular instagram post with a Banksy work. It's Britney's birthday, it's World AIDS day, she misunderstood a viral meme that she commented under thinking it was criticising the song so she sang Toxic to address all three. It's not that deep.

Madonna's great, I think her speaking up and bringing attention to HIV/AIDS is absolutely wonderful and very important. With that said, the song choice for this was a little bit awkward - let's be real.

The fact this woman has done a lot for the AIDS research/awareness/LGBT community in general and the amount of hate she gets. :saladga:

It is appalling to see again so much hate and disrespect towards Madonna.

Some of you should really feel ashamed!
