So I am a songwriter and I think that is kinda why I am so into Pop Culture. And that is where I bring the question. Are you obsessed with Pop Culture? If so why?

I’m  just curious and want to know. Sites like ATRL and Fotpforums make me want to ask just how many people are into it.

Tell me below!

I just follow what I like and some of the things I follow happen to be popular - not sure where that puts me :bon:

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

I can't say that I'm immersed into pop culture, but I'm trying to stay up-to-date. I think it has to do with the new reality. I was born in the 90s and all I had when I was a kid were VHS and old-school video game consoles. The 3G internet errupted in my country somewhere in 2010-2012, and there appeared an instant online 24/7 access to info on music, TV series, books, video games, big screen films, sports and literally everything. And this information flow is so mighty that there is hardly a way to stay out of it, so that's why I've somehow got into it :classy:

With all the death, famine, rape, disease, oppression, etc, in the world, it's nice to have an escape into something that isn't quite real. And for a lot of us, that escape is pop culture.

Pop culture has a broad meaning but most people here will think only about pop music. So I won't answer your question now.

This

:golfclap:

This is pretty much exactly why I love it so much, besides my fascination with music and my songwriting passion/talent.

Agreed. Capeflicks like Marvel vs DC, Pokemon etc are also all pop culture. Each media has a "pop" culture.

OT: validation that we belong and are accepted

the ignorance

It has been known for a long time that in gay DNA there happens a transmission of certain genes which are the basis of the inheritance of psychotypic trait such as "pop culture obsession". The earliest written evidence was discovered in The Egyptian Book of the Dead, which is a collection of spells that enable the soul of the deceased to navigate the afterlife. It included special instructions for gays, who were expected not only to have their heart weighed on the scale of Maat against the feather of truth after they die, but were also expected to be questioned by the the jackal-headed Anubis on the pop cultures matters, such as:

which pharaoh you stan and why,

what, in your opinion, were the top 5 Cleopatra's red carpet looks this season,

what Papyrus scrolls were certified platinum this year?

In the Ancient Greece, while the philosophers strived to explain the nature and complexity of all matter in terms of simpler substances, Anaximander argued that the primordial substance was not any of the known substances, but could be the gay's obsession with pop culture.

Multiple evidence emerged in later periods of history, too, like when Newton discovered that "in an inertial frame of reference, gays either remain highly interested in or obsessed with pop culture, unless acted upon by a force."

The 1960s studies proved that theory, too. So next time before asking something like that, do some research

Anubis had little power during the reign of Cleopatra because her dynasty borrowed a lot from the Greek pantheon. Nice try.
