prince 4,688
You can't deny her impact. Also don't forget the last show of her Blond Ambition tour was dedicated to her friend Keith Haring who died of aids, the proceeds of that show went to the Aids Foundation. She's an incredible woman and for an icon she's underrated and doesn't get enough credit for what she's done in her life

I think her narcissistic persona this decade has overshadowed what she has done for society in the past For liberals, she should be looked at as a hero. She was SO open minded to differences in times that that was not the norm. She didn't care about race, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. She was open to everybody and continues to be. She is one of the most powerful women of the last 40 years and her power helped have a huge impact on the direction of this country

She is one of the most powerful women of the last 40 years and her power helped have a huge impact on the direction of this country I also think her later music hasn't lived up to the hits she's had even though she's created some great work and that could be tarnishing her legacy. For example LMFAO at the Super Bowl was tragic but she did it to be in the present and to seem cool. She's influenced so much fashion, art, music, popular culture and politics and she's beyond powerful! She was talking about race, gender and sex so much in her early career and she really helped push barriers. I find it insulting when people stan various female pop stars but deny Madonnas impact, we wouldn't have a lot of the artists now if it wasn't for Madonna
