The House 455
White people have won AOTY the most this decade and a black artist hasn’t won since 2004/5, and this is the FIRST TIME in 19 YEARS that a white man isn't nominated for Album of the Year but OHPOORWHITEPEOPLE, "this Is SJW panderingGFGG!!!!". TRASH.

Also they could and should have given more nods to women, not just black men. They SHOULDNT give a nomination to anyone who’s undeserving, no matter of their ethnicity, color, gender or sex. I liked the album and thought I wouldn’t mind if he won because everyone knows Lemonade and 25 and at least that album would’ve gotten more exposure, he deserved it. Anyway, I’m glad the Grammys are not always a popularity contest and they come up with these surprises. I’m going to listen to Childish Gambino tonight. Did I say that they are not? My point is that the awards/people should stop worrying so ****ing much about including a specific number of black artists/white artists/women/men.They should just judge the music and choose based on it. If one year all 5 best albums are by white artists, then they should only put white artists on the AOTY category,if another year the best albums are by black women the same. I don't understand why they FORCE diversity. If they prefered white artists all of those years just because they are white, that's wrong too.

The disdain for Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, or anything "urban" sounding by these type of people speaks volumes. They seem to believe only white women in Pop deserve awards. It's so stupid. "Hip-Hop is only about sex, bitches, drugs and crime". LOL, sweetie, wake up. This isn't 1998 anymore. Modern hip-hip/rap is about so much more. And black artists are selling/delivering quality like anyone else. This isn't pandering. This is the reality. Get over it.
Sizzily 14,543
"including the first Spanish-language song to receive a song and record nod." But does it deserve it? Tears in the rain
Doot 2
Perhaps they should just focus on the quality of the music and not the person making its skin color or gender.

ShockPop 7,747
Who needs to look at quality of work when you can look at skin colour instead? What a joke.

Slovakialop 2,258
This is positive DISCRIMINATION. I don't get the point of nominate black people only becouse their black, if white people's songs are better, the why force the diversity? Edit: I don't mean that white people's songs are better in general. What I really mean is that nowadays, it feels like it must be a 50% white people's work and 50% black people's work in everything, it's like it must be a diversity, no matter what. Luzaleja 1,761
there's nothing bad about making sure that the people who are voting for the nominees and winners come from diverse backgrounds. however, they still need to change the people who are voting because somehow they gave a nod to despacito for SOTY and too many noms for Jay z for an album that was mostly a non-event. I mean, ROTY? I'm actually happy with the Academy appreciating Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars. They put out good work this year.
