I'll agree with you on "Shoutout to My Ex" but "Black Magic" is a bop.

My fav of these ten is No More Sad Songs :diane:

As someone from across the pond, I am having the image that they are more popular than Girls Aloud since they have toured around Europe and not just the UK.

What do y'all locals think? Is that correct? :oprah:

Power is definitely their all-time best single in my eyes. The instrumental is off the chain, the explosion of the chorus and the finale minute are so are killer. What's great is that they have very few "meh" singles, all of them are quite worthy of their success and they've not a released a bad album yet. I didn't have high hopes for them back when they won but they surpassed expectations and then some. It'll be great if they keep going. Most girlbands are lucky if they can make it to 5 years and 3 albums. Little Mix are about to enter their seventh year together and have started work on a fifth album. And they're still getting hits at this stage. This is Girls Aloud level of slayage and if they keep going, they'll overturn their achievements soon. I think they're now the most successful XF winners of all time. The only thing that Leona still has achieved better than them is a #1 single in America and more overall album sales, but the latter part is certainly going to change real soon. The girls have already surpassed her in #1's, top tens, touring gross and Vevo certified videos.

I was thinking the same myself. Girls Aloud have more top tens but only because they've been around longer and they started out back when you could get a hit from every single released from your album (most artists are lucky if they can get 2 hits per album these days). So, Little Mix are operating under different rules. But yes, they've blown GA out the water when it comes to touring gross and not just because they do world tours but because they just sell out arenas better than GA could. LM's album sales are also very, very similar to GA's and considering that they're making albums in a time when albums don't sell anymore, those numbers are far more impressive (GA's album sales are shockingly low, considering the time they were released). Overall, GA have sold over 2.6 million albums in the UK over 5 studio albums whereas LM have sold over 2 million over 4 albums. And, as hard as it is to believe, it seems that GA only have one platinum hit in the UK - Sound of the Underground (The Promise is almost platinum, but not quite). LM have 7 - Wings, Black Magic, Secret Love Song, Hair, Shoutout to my Ex, Touch, Power). Again, considering how this is a time when music doesn't sell like it used to, this is even more admirable. Girlbands typically don't hold attention to the same level that boybands do, so yes, if they keep going this way, they might become the second biggest UK girlband after Spice Girls.
