Spock 20,290 Posted November 27, 2017 Share Posted November 27, 2017 From Vanity Fair's AMAZING Marvel Studios profile Both Iger and Feige hinted at how the franchise will expand into different realms, with James Gunn working in close collaboration to possibly spin off some characters from the extraterrestrial world of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel is “22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before—intentionally,” Feige said. While Feige refused to reveal any details about the characters and stories Marvel has yet to introduce, he did promise a definitive end to the franchise that built Marvel. Avengers 4, he said, will “bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale.” This may mean a lot of dead Avengers at the hands of the villain Thanos, who has appeared sporadically and tantalizingly since the first Avengersmovie back in 2012. But the Marvel Cinematic Universe will live on. “There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I am expecting the first teaser to release around the time Star Wars The Last Jedi release, Disney will pull that, I swear. I'll be surprised if they don't! And I am looking forward to all these upcoming MCU movies! Bring Namor into the team! And spy movie with Black Widow! And She-Hulk too! How I wish X-Men will be added into this some who in the future like they did Spider-Man! I need Storm and Phoenix in the team! Total comic book nerd here and Marvel just always gets it right. although this article is confusing as it says Avengers 4 will be the final film, yet later on says there will be more films after it. Infinity War will be the final film of everything that's been happening since Iron Man in 2008.
