I point to someone because you are so sure to claim the opposite, which is in this case unpopular opinion. Do I need to go into detailed review and point all the things which make Ringu a better movie to validate myself?

This is precisely where the American version surpasses the original. Yes, the Japanese version did it first and laid the groundwork for the others, but Verbinski turned it into a complete aural and visual powerhouse. The camerawork, the washed-out color grading, the subliminal sound design, the jittery score... Incredible. Not to mention that Naomi Watts's 'Rachel' is a far more well-written and compelling lead than Nanako Matsushima's 'Reiko'.

Everyone else is entitled to their opinions, that is totally fine, but I personally don't base the quality of a movie off of what Rotten Tomatoes or iMBD says I have the ability to form an opinion myself, without the influence of others. pink sushi 4,351
Yes. And while you are at it, you might as well watch the whole Rings trilogy. The third one (Rings) isn't a remake. It's a continuation of the series and gives more of the backstory on Samara. I had been waiting over 10 years for it!
