It’s actually pathetic how rude some of you are. You must live a sad life if this is how you get your enjoyment; tearing people down on the internet :emma:

I used to love Shane's videos and I still do.

This video was hilarious, but tbh he's becoming somewhat of...not a sellout, but just riding trends rather than doing his own thing. He still mostly does his typical weird-ass videos that I love (selling underwear? guuuurl).

But if you follow him as much as I do you can tell he's getting tired of being the "unpopular kid at school" in the YouTube sphere. Heck, if you've seen his Fullscreen podcasts he even literally tells Elijah and Tana (now forming the at-pack ) that he's intimidated by them; I could tell how uncomfortable he felt when looking at what other YouTubers (though they're his friends kind of) are doing [he seemed choked up/disappointed no one told him about the at-pack in his podcast].

Also, I noticed this about him:

Team 10 shows up, then the At-Pack as well -> literally says he's intimidated by the At Pack, and also makes a bunch of videos parodying Team 10 (in a friendly vain of course) and makes the random "imagine us [his friends] snatching Team 10's wig" jokes WAAAAY too often.

Dozens of YouTubers start "rapping" -> literally says he wants to start rapping in his last podcast.

Like seriously Shane? Just do you :oprah:

Note: This is all based on my own speculation. But as a semi-unpopular kid myself. I can easily "feel" Shane right now and his headspace (minus his hella dark tendencies of course lol).

If this is really how he feels (I don’t watch many of his podcasts so I don’t know the tea) then that makes me sad, he’s achieved more on YouTube than any of the current ‘cool-kids’ have. He doesn’t need to prove himself on YouTube anymore, he already has.

I think he is just parodying them. The music videos for the diss track against his BF were so funny. He doesnt take himself too seriously and makes fun of the fact that he pulls in so many views and is more entertaining than a lot of youtubers for 1% of the budget. I think that since he came out as bi, hes just been honest with everyone about how he feels, which i like.

Also yall saying ew and stuff shut the hell up he was litterally making this as a joke because his whole “brand” is being gross and thought it would make a funny video, which it did. And plus he was going to give the money to charity. Plus he is not that bad looking. Just because he is not a hairless twink does not mean he is ugly. To me he is way more attractive than those one direction boys

The fact he could've made $100,000 in LESS than a day cor seeling some stupid used underwear is appaling :saladga:

People work YEARS to make that money...

Good thing EBAY cancelled it...

It's not like he's bidding on himself though. He has no control over how much people are willing to bid on some neon underwear.

Kardashians and Jenners get paid a highly successful surgeon's salary for posting a picture on Instagram.

I'm not talking about the parodies though. I'm talking about the things he says in his podcast. I love his parodies, but there's more to it than just fun YouTube videos. There's that underlying envy.

I do agree w/ you on ppl calling him ugly like wtf??? He's FAAAAAR from my type, but he's not unattractive!

Exactly! Like he's a YouTube icon at this point like OG Icon and he's outlasted all of them.

But I swear I could tell that there's this envy in him, not straight-up jealousy but it's that feeling you get when you feel worthless when you compare yourself to someone who's successful and working hard to be even more successful. While you're just there in the background doing old you :(

It's especially evident when 5 minutes into the podcast he's like..."I kinda wanna do rap for real" (something along those lines) and surprise surprise they were discussing Tana dropping her new track too. Like...there's definitely some sort of envy there that isn't malicious. I just know it!

I wouldn’t say it’s envy. I can relate to it because i always felt like an outsider, and when i grew up i realised that i just did not fit in with the popular crowd and did not want to. So you just embrace yourself and shanes way of doing that is by using humor. Idk i do listen to his podcasts but i did not get the same vibe

What a shame to see you people trying to bring him down. Shane is one of the most authentic YouTubers there is. He has put his life out there for people who may be struggling with the same issues and has repeatedly expressed he just loves making people laugh and making them forget about their problems for a few minutes as they watch his videos.
