The Starboy Era

I wanted to take a look back at The Weeknd's Starboy era. The Starboy era started off quite strong with a #1 lead single ("Starboy") and another Top 10 single ("I Feel It Coming") after that. The album debuted at #1 in the US with 209K in sales and 348K SPS. That week every song from the album charted on the Hot 100 because of streaming. The first two singles were released to Pop Radio and Rhythmic Radio. However, his next two singles were only released to Rhythmic and Urban Radio ("Party Monster" and "Reminder"). This resulted in sub-par performances. The Weeknd then released "Rockin" as a single, but only in Europe. His last single to be sent to radio in the US was "Die For You", but again, was only sent to Rhythmic Radio. In my opinion, The Weeknd has a handful of pop radio bops on Starboy, and I wish him and his label would've released them.

I love him but this is actually my least fave album of his! It's good but his others are stronger imo.

My favorite track on this one is Party Monster. :lolly:

I really loved this album, it’s one of my favorites of the last 2 years and it’s a little long but all of the songs are great. My favorites are Six Feet Under, Die For You and of course Starboy and I Feel It Coming.
