As you may know, Andromeda is our closest galaxy. Even though it is 'close' (2.5 million light years to be exact), we aren't close enough. No matter how hard we try, we won't have the technology or resources in our lifetime to cross a space so vast. I used the distance between the Milky Way and Andromeda as a metaphor for a relationship. Could be between friends, family, lovers, or even a pet.
