I don't recall ever hearing this statistic - even when Adele sold 3m+ first week. Her sales are a great achievement no doubt, but the fact that the other albums charting can barely do 700k combined is really a sign of how DIRE the sales climate is right now. They normally note when the #1 album outsells the entire top 10/20 etc, I feel like outselling the rest of the top 200 is a pretty enormous headline opportunity... But I just read that this is pure sales only, without SPS? Which would make more sense. Now they are all grown they got money to buy her music. I wonder though when her sales will decline, I dont think they will soon.
